Today was the grand opening of Topshop in Canada at Yorkdale. It's part of the Bay. I wasn't planning on going but I needed to pop into Holt Renfrew anyway, so I decided to go a little earlier to check it out.
You'll have to excuse the blurriness of some of the pictures. I quickly snapped them with my iPhone.
I have been waiting for Topshop to come to Canada for a while now. I've shopped there before in other countries and I love the style and unique pieces you can find there. A lot of people have the misconception that it's the same as H&M or Forever21. I suppose it's similar in the sense that it's a trendy store... but in terms of the price point, it's definitely not as inexpensive as H&M or Forever21. Topshop has clothes (obviously), shoes, accessories, and even makeup.
I didn't end up purchasing anything today except for a knit infinity scarf. Topshop has some really gorgeous items though. I will definitely be going back soon to pick up a few things. I just wasn't really in a shopping mood today. I did try some things on though. Mostly dresses because that's the reason I went to the mall in the first place. I didn't find any dresses that suited the idea I had in my head, but I tried a couple on anyway for fun.
This was the first dress I tried on. I loved the colour, I think it came in two of three others though. I also love the crochet detail. It's a little conservative with the long sleeves and modest hem but also little sexy because of the peek-a-boos of skin. The sizing on this dress was a little off. I find that I am between sizes.
The second dress was a little more formal. Very plain from the front with a sweetheart neckline and a pleated skirt. The back is what really drew me in though. It had a cute heart cutout. I didn't like how the zipper at the back buckled though.
If you don't live nearby & can't check out Topshop yourself, don't worry! You can find most of their items online at theBay.com/Topshop! So happy shopping!

Aleeza
